The Etiquette for Vaping on a Date
There’s not much in life more exhilarating, exciting, and
anxiety-inducing than going on a first date. It’s one of those
situations where first impressions make all the difference.

delicious and delightfully aromatic you may find your vaping juice,
there’s no guarantee your date is going to react the same way. That’s
why, for the sake of your date and any relationship that might follow,
it’s always a good idea to be considerate. Abide by the following tips
for vaping etiquette while on a date. And who knows, maybe you’ll be on a
date with a fellow vaper (or vaper-to-be as you gave such a nice
introduction to the pastime).
Be Up-Front
This may seem like a no-brainer but it’s tempting to conceal your vaping at first and approach the topic later. That’s a bad move. Whoever you’re on the date with, if they have a negative opinion of vaping, that’s not going to change between the first date and when you reveal that you vape. However, their opinion of you will likely change for the worse if they feel like you have been dishonest about your vaping. Be up-front about vaping—chances are that even if your date isn’t a fan, they’ll appreciate the honesty. Plus, there are millions of vapers in the country, you may find that you and your date have vaping in common!
Don’t Be Too Up-Front
That being said, don’t be too up-front. Like virtually any other interest, hobby, or pastime people have, there’s no guarantee that someone else is going to be as into it as you are. Dinner and a movie is a pretty typical date. And it’s a go-to first date plan that still works great. That is, unless you are going to have to dip out every half hour for a hit on your vape. Most vapers can go a few hours sans-hit without too much discomfort. If you’re not one of them, however, and a movie, play, concert, or long meal without a hit isn’t going to work, don’t incorporate events like that into your date plan. For instance, if it’s going to be an issue during a dinner, see about finding a restaurant with a vape-friendly area outside, or arrive early to get a few puffs in before the date begins.
